Alejandra Díaz de León

Alejandra Díaz de León is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at the College of Mexico (Colmex) in Mexico City and a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science’s Latin American and Caribbean Centre. Her research focuses on solidarity, trust, and social network formation in dangerous and volatile situations, specifically in the context of transit migration through Mexico. She has done extensive fieldwork in Mexico and in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands.
