Alexander F. Skutch

Alexander F. Skutch went on to Central and South America to study birds and other aspects of the region's natural history. He is the author of 26 books, including Life Histories of Central American Birds (1967), Life of the Hummingbird (1980), and Birds of Tropical America (1983).
