Barbara J. Roth

Barbara J. Roth is a professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She specializes in studying prehistoric cultures in the American Southwest and community development in the Mimbres Mogollon region of southwestern New Mexico, where she has directed the excavation of several sites. She is the author of Agricultural Beginnings in the American Southwest and co-editor of New Perspectives on Mimbres Archaeology: Three Millennia of Human Occupation in the North American Southwest.
