Darrell Creel

Darrell Creel is former director of the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory and professor emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Texas at Austin. He has conducted fieldwork in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arizona. His research over the past forty years has focused on the Mimbres area in southwestern New Mexico. He has published extensively in Kiva and American Antiquity and is the author of numerous book chapters. His most recent book is The Production and Distribution of Mimbres Pottery.
