David Spener

David Spener is professor of sociology and anthropology at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is the author of several books, including Clandestine Crossings: Migrants and Coyotes on the Texas-Mexico Border, Canto de las estrellas: Un homenaje a Víctor Jara (with Moisés Chaparro and José Seves), We Shall Not Be Moved / No nos moverán: Biography of a Song of Struggle, and Canto unido / Un encuentro americano: Los tiempos y las canciones de Violeta Parra, Woody Guthrie, Víctor Jara y Phil Ochs.
