Duane Champagne

Duane Champagne is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa from North Dakota. He is professor emeritus of sociology, law, and American Indian studies at University of California, Los Angeles. Champagne has authored or edited more than 125 publications. His research interests focus on issues of social and cultural change in historical and contemporary Native American communities.
