Dr. Farina King (Diné) is an assistant professor of history and an affiliate of the Department of Cherokee and Indigenous Studies at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She specializes in Indigenous studies with a focus on Native American boarding school experiences. Her primary forms of methodology include oral history and archival research. Her first book, The Earth Memory Compass: Diné Landscapes and Education in the Twentieth Century, was published by the University Press of Kansas in 2018.
