Harvey W. Jong received a bachelor’s degree from M.I.T. and a master’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara; both degrees are in electrical engineering. After working in the microprocessor industry for 15 years, he decided to pursue his passion for photography and started a digital media studio specializing in virtual reality. He is constantly searching for creative ways of applying the latest technologies to visualize minerals and their localities. He is a founding member of the Earth Science Museum and currently serves as the president of this nonprofit organization which is helping to reopen a mineral museum in Phoenix.
