Leigh Johnson is an associate professor of integrated and professional studies at Middle Tennessee State University and professor emerita at Marymount University. Her work has appeared in Journal of Post-Colonial Cultures and Societies, 49th Parallel, Transformations: A Journal of Inclusive Scholarship and Pedagogy, Meridians, and more than fifteen edited collections. Her research focuses on Chicana feminism and Latina writing, with emphases on domestic violence as figured both in the home and in the nation and Latinas’ transnational and interethnic friendships.
