Leslie A. Young

Leslie A. Young is a planetary scientist at Southwest Research Institute and served as deputy project scientist for the New Horizons Pluto flyby. Young has studied Pluto and Charon since the late 1980s, including seminal discoveries of Pluto’s atmospheric structure, surface ices, and atmospheric composition. She has also authored or co-authored many papers on the Pluto system.
