M. Steven Shackley

M. Steven Shackley is an emeritus professor of anthropology and geoarchaeology at the University of California, Berkeley, and director of the Geoarchaeological XRF Laboratory in Albuquerque. He has received numerous awards, including the Fryxell Medal and the Award in Excellence in Archaeological Analysis from the Society for American Archaeology. He has taught archaeological methods, geoarchaeological science, lithic technology, x-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) laboratory practicum, quantitative methods, and data analysis, as well as the field school for Field Practice in Archaeological Petrology in New Mexico.
