Peter M. Whiteley

Peter M. Whiteley is the curator of North American ethnology and professor in the Richard Gilder Graduate School at the American Museum of Natural History. He received his BA and MA in archaeology and anthropology from Cambridge University and a PhD in anthropology from the University of New Mexico. His research focuses on the ethnography and history of Native North American cultures. His most recent book is From Bac to Orayvi: The Ethnographic Entradas of Francisco Garcés, 1768–1776.
