Raquel Rodrigues Machaqueiro

Raquel Rodrigues Machaqueiro is a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Anthropology at George Washington University. She is a former public policy analyst on climate change, forestry, and carbon markets with the Portuguese government in Lisbon. Awarded numerous grants for her work, she focuses on transnational governance and policy making, development and environmental policies, science and technology studies, and the transatlantic slave trade. She has developed fieldwork in Brazil and Mozambique.
