Stephen Plog

Stephen Plog is the David Harrison Professor of Archaeology Emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Virginia. His research has focused on stylistic change in prehistoric ceramics, demography, sociopolitical organization, and religion and cosmology in the Pueblo Southwest. His most recent research has examined culture change in Chaco Culture National Historical Park with a particular emphasis on sociopolitical hierarchies and religion.
