Thomas Bowen

Thomas Bowen is professor emeritus in the Department of Anthropology, California State University, Fresno, and a research associate at the Southwest Center at the University of Arizona. His research has focused on the archaeology and history of the islands in the Gulf of California, especially as it relates to the Seri people. His books and monographs include Unknown Island, The Record of Native People on Islands in the Gulf of California, and On Desert Shores.
