Tim Z. Hernandez

Tim Z. Hernandez was born and raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley. He is the recipient of many awards, including the American Book Award for poetry, and has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, CNN, Public Radio International, and National Public Radio. Hernandez holds an MFA from Bennington College and is an assistant professor in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Texas at El Paso. He divides his time between Fresno and El Paso.
