Victoria Riley Evans

Victoria R. Evans is an archaeologist who has conducted research in the Sonoran Desert for more than twenty years. Evans recently retired from New Mexico Highlands University, where she served as the anthropology laboratory director, reevaluated collections, ran archaeological field schools, chaired thesis committees, and taught graduate-level classes on forensics, ceramic analysis, methodology, and Southwest archaeology. She served as vice president for the Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society from 1999 to 2000.
