Wounaan National Congress

The Wounaan Podpa N?m Po¨maam (Wounaan National Congress) is comprised of all Wounaan in urban and rural areas and the sixteen Wounaan communities in Darien and Panama Provinces of Panama. The Wounaan Podpa N?m Po¨maam is the highest body of religious, cultural, and political-administrative expression, deliberation, and decision-making of Wounaan in Panama. The chapter themes and authors for this book were selected by national authorities and technical experts in meetings of the Congress and the Foundation for the Development of Wounaan People (Fundación para el Desarrollo del Pueblo Wounaan).
