LASA 2019- International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association

May 24–27, 2019— Join us in Boston for the 37th annual International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association! This year’s theme is “Nuestra América: Justice and Inclusion.

This theme signals the challenges of social, economic, racial, ethnic, gendered, sexuality-based, and other forms of inequality and the need to promote creative solutions for overcoming them. The theme will also explore the importance of scholarship and an inclusive definition of justice that relies on truth and facts and incorporates respect and dignity for all peoples.

The 2019 LASA congress will be connected to the Latin American and Latino communities in Boston and the Northeast as well as to the rich mix of academic, creative, community, and policy institutions and organizations found there.

American Historical Association 2019

January 3-6, 2019 — Join us in Chicago for the 133rd annual American Historical Association meeting! This year’s theme is “Loyalties.” At this meeting, historians can network and reconnect, and  pitch your latest project to our editor. Because the AHA and the MLA are both holding their meetings in Chicago at the same time this year, the associations have agreed to honor each other’s badges. We encourage you to come visit us in Booth 517!

AWP Conference & Bookfair 2019

March 27-30, 2019— Join us for the annual AWP Conference and Bookfair in Portland, Oregon! As the largest literary conference in North America, this event is an essential destination for writers, teachers, students, editors, and publishers. With over 12,000 annual attendees, the conference features more than 2,000 presenters as well as 550 readings, panels, and craft lectures. The bookfair hosts more than 800 presses, journals, and literary organizations from all over the globe— and we are thrilled to be one of the presses attending AWP this year. Please come visit us at the bookfair in booth 6042!

Society for Applied Anthropology 2019

March 19-23, 2019 — Join us for the 79th annual Society for Applied Archaeology meeting in downtown Portland, Oregon. This year’s theme will be “Engaging Change in Turbulent Times“. This meeting is more than a conference: it’s a place to trade ideas, methods, and practical solutions while entering the lifeworld of other professionals. SfAA members come from a wide variety of disciplines, so this meeting will be a space for learning and growth from a range of different perspectives.

Society for American Archaeology 2019

April 10–14, 2019— Join us at the 84th annual meeting of the Society for American Archaeology! Held in the cultural crossroads of the Southwest, this meeting in Albuquerque is sure to be an exciting place to engage with other scholars and discuss research.

We will be in Booth 501, in the book exhibit hall, and we would love to see you there.

Western History Association 2018

October 17–20, 2018 Join us in San Antonio for the 58th annual meeting of the Western History Association! This year’s theme is “Re-imagining Race and Ethnicity in the West.” The panels and presentations at this year’s conference will explore the historical origins, legacy, and construction of race and ethnicity in the North American West. This year’s theme especially aims to examine the complex intersections of race, gender, class, and ethnicity from a variety of perspectives. Come say hello to us in Booth 38!

American Anthropological Association 2018

November 14–November 18, 2018 Join us at the American Anthropological Association’s annual meeting! This year’s theme is “Change in Anthropological Imagination: Resistance, Resilience, and Adaptation”. A few of the questions being addressed at this meeting will be: How have the processes of resistance, resilience, and adaptation shaped our species? How have societies in the past dealt with dramatic social changes and reorganization? What can we learn about ourselves by studying our responses to adversity? What does it mean to “resist”? And, what inspires cooperation?

We’ll be in Booth 214, and we would love to see you at the meeting!
