Hawai’i State Poet Laureate Inaugural Event for Brandy Nālani McDougall

Where: The Hawai’i State Art Museum, located on the 2nd floor of the No. 1 Capitol District Building, 250 South Hotel Street, in downtown Honolulu, Hawai‘i

On January 1, 2023, Brandy Nālani McDougall was selected as the new Hawai’i State Poet Laureate! Her inaugural event will be Friday, January 13, 2022, 6-9 pm at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum as part of the monthly jazz night, The Vibe. Admission to the museum is always free.

Brandy is the author of the forthcoming poetry collection, Āina Hānau /Birth Land
