Tuesday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. – Join us at the University of Arizona Libraries Special Collections (1510 E University Blvd) for an evening celebrating Ernest W. McFarland and the release of his newest biography Call Him Mac: Ernest W. McFarland, the Arizona Years. The political life of Ernest W. McFarland—lawyer, judge, senator, governor, Arizona Supreme Court justice, and businessman—is well documented. Less known is his life as a family man, country lawyer, rural judge, and visionary who helped shape the state of Arizona. With special remarks from Dr. Peter Likins and Burton J. Kinerk, author Gary L. Stuart will share the little-known story of how Arizona’s culture and citizens shaped this energetic, determined, likable lawyer.
A reception will follow the event where copies of Call Him Mac will be available for purchase and signing. Seating is limited, please RSVP.
