Virtual launch of Carrying the Burden of Peace

Join us for the launch of Carrying the Burden of Peace: Reimagining Indigenous Masculinities Through Story presented by the University of Arizona Press and the University of Regina Press.

When: Wednesday, May 12, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

A critical exploration of Indigenous masculinities, Carrying the Burden of Peace weaves together stories of Indigenous life, love, eroticism, pain, and joy. In celebration of the book’s launch, author Sam McKegney will be joined by Richard Van Camp and Smokii Sumac, two writers whose work is examined in the book, to discuss Indigenous literary art and depictions of masculinity that help us envision a future we’d like to inhabit.

Event is free, but registration required. Please register here.
